COMPORT iPRO Getting Started Guide | AMR Performance

Getting started with COMPORT iPRO. The iPRO plugs into your vehicle's diagnostic port and is controlled from your phone through a secure web app — no computer or cables required. This guide covers setup, flashing your tune, data logging, and diagnostics.

What you received

The iPRO talks to your phone over Bluetooth, while your phone stays connected to the internet for everything else — so it works anywhere you have signal.

Before you start — what you need

Why Bluefy? Apple's Safari can't talk to Bluetooth devices. Bluefy is a free browser that can — the app runs inside it.

Install the app

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the App Store and install Bluefy.
  2. Open Bluefy.
  3. In the address bar, go to https://ipro.amrcomport.com
  4. Optional: tap the share icon, then Add to Home Screen, so you can reopen it like a normal app.

  1. Enter the email address on your AMR account and tap Sign In.
  2. If you see "not authorized to use this device" or "account is not active", contact AMR Performance — your account needs to be enabled for the COMPORT iPRO.

Plug in and install (first time only)

This links your iPRO to your vehicle. You only do it once.

  1. Plug the iPRO into your vehicle's OBD-II port (usually under the dash, driver's side).
  2. Turn the key to ON / ignition on, but do NOT start the engine. On push-button cars, press START without your foot on the brake so the dash powers up but the engine stays off.
  3. In the app, tap Install, confirm your vehicle details, and follow the prompts.
  4. When asked, tap Connect to Device and choose "COMPORT iPRO" from the Bluetooth list.
  5. The app checks your vehicle and completes the install.
One vehicle only
your iPRO is permanently married to this vehicle. Do not try to install or flash it on a different car. If a mismatch is detected, your account will be locked for safety. If you change vehicles, contact AMR Performance first.

Flashing your tune

Battery charger required: before you flash, connect a battery charger or booster directly to your vehicle's battery and set it on HIGH. A flash draws power with the engine off — if the battery voltage drops mid-flash, it can interrupt the process. Keep it connected until the flash finishes.

  1. Connect your battery charger / booster to the vehicle's battery and set it on HIGH.
  2. Make sure the iPRO is plugged in, ignition ON, engine OFF.
  3. Keep the app open and your phone near the vehicle the whole time.
  4. Tap Tuning, choose your tune, then Flash Now.
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts — you'll be asked to turn the ignition off, wait, then back on at the right moments.
  6. Wait for "Flash Complete."
  7. Follow the iPRO prompts to finish. Afterwards the vehicle will need a drive cycle — sometimes two — before certain pop-up messages clear.
Dashboard warnings during a flash are normal
while the tune is being written, your dashboard may show warning lights, inoperable notifications and a variety of disabled messages. That is expected — other modules briefly lose communication with the ECU while it is offline. Flashing the ECU has no effect on traction control lights, speedometer readings, or any other module outside the ECU's control.
During a flash
don't unplug the device, don't close the app, and don't let the phone lock or walk away. The screen is kept awake for you. If something interrupts it, simply reconnect and flash again — it's safe to retry.

Data logging

Tap Data Logging for two options:

Fault codes

Tap Diagnostics:

Keeping it up to date

From the main menu, open Settings, then Update Firmware, and tap Update Now. The app downloads and installs the latest device software over Bluetooth, then the iPRO restarts. If it asks you to Reconnect afterward, tap it.

About screen

Tap About to see your vehicle info, your iPRO serial number, and the last tune flashed.

Troubleshooting

"COMPORT iPRO" does not appear when connecting
Make sure it's plugged in and the ignition is on, then tap Connect again. Try unplugging and replugging the device.
It will not connect / keeps dropping
Confirm you're using Bluefy (not Safari), keep the phone close to the device, and make sure Bluetooth is on.
